Prescott Market Review June 2019

Highpoints:

  • Inventory Levels Still Lower than Buyer Demand
  • Sold Prices Holding Steady with Slight Decreases
  • Homes are Selling Faster
  • Low Interest Rates May Contribute to Increased Buyer Demand

We have also experienced an increased demand from investors. They are looking to purchase traditional rental and vacation rental homes.

Homes that are "fixer-uppers", which need updating and deferred maintanence items addressed, do not appeal to the largest segment of buyers who prefer move-in ready. The old "sweat equity" method no longer appeals to the majority of current homebuyers. However, there are investors interested in these homes, but they must be priced accordingly.
